For Language and/or Speech Delay for Children Ages 7 to Adults. The program contains two different lessons: 1) Remembering Sounds and 2) Identifying Sounds. In the first lesson, between 2 and 6 different environmental sounds are presented as sounds to be remembered. Next, another environmental sound is presented and the user must determine whether this environmental sound was in the list of sounds to be remembered. In the second lesson, an environmental sound is presented and then a list of possible descriptions is displayed. The user must determine which description best fits the sound presented. The program can be configured to display literal or inferential descriptions. Literal descriptions are concrete names for the sound like a laughing sound made by a child. Inferential descriptions require that the user have an understanding of what the sound means like a happy child. Features: The program is easy to use, tracks performance and provides interesting examples of environmental sounds. Environmental sounds are randomized providing an infinite number of stimulus opportunities.
